Prof. PAN Yongxin and Prof. ZHU Rixiang, both Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, visited the Otto Poon Charitable Foundation Smart Cities Research Institute (SCRI) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. They received by Prof. SHI Wenzhong, John, Director of SCRI.
During the visit, Prof. SHI introduced SCRI’s latest developments in smart city research, geospatial innovation, and digital technologies. Both parties exchanged views on emerging research topics in geomagnetism, geodynamics, and geospatial science, and discussed potential opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration between geoscience and smart city research.
The visit concluded with a fruitful exchange of views and laid a solid foundation for future collaboration in geoscience, geospatial research, and smart city development.
