Through understanding the basic processes behind different types of weather, it is hoped that students will not put themselves in harm’s way and develop a love for nature and weather observation as an enhancement of their quality of life.

- Explore interesting weather and atmospheric optical phenomena
- Knowing significant weather and climate events (cold snap, heat wave, storms, etc.) here in Hong Kong and elsewhere
- Prepare students to be weather-smart and climate literate
