Biography

Dr. Chung received his BSc in Statistics, MPhil in Statistics and PhD in Medical Sciences from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He was a Graduate Statistician under the Royal Statistical Society in United Kingdom and obtained the Certificate in Big data and Social Analytics by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Starting from joining RS in 2006, Raymond has since acted as our departmental statistical consultant to our academic staff or students and taught undergraduate and graduate courses (RS2050, RS517 and RS6003) related to statistics and research methods. His current research relies on big data predictive analytics for retrospective studies related to return-to-work pattern among injury group and the fall incidence among the frail elderly. After joining the department, he has successfully collaborated with our staff in publishing more than 40 publications on high impact journals and also securing around 10 external research grants for both GRF and HMRF.
