I graduated from the BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy programme at PolyU. My undergraduate studies have aroused my interest in the application of assistive technology. Being fascinated by advanced technology, I pursued my MPhil in Technology Leadership and Entrepreneurship at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where I learnt to develop machine learning algorithms and became familiar with AI technology. I also became more competent in creating new products and devices for use in the healthcare field with my newly acquired engineering knowledge.
With the experience of developing AI technology and a track record of participating in several innovation competitions, I returned to PolyU to pursue my PhD and work with patients and healthcare professionals. Combining my rehabilitation and engineering knowledge, I will keep track of the newest technological developments and utilise the potential of technology in the rehabilitation field. In my research on the application of Markerless Motion Capture technology in rehabilitation, I will make efforts to generalise the use of technology in the healthcare field as well as improving rehabilitation efficacy with the breakthroughs in technology.
