Biography

Mr Denis Chan attained his Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy and Master of Science in Manipulative Physiotherapyfrom The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He obtained Diploma in Acupuncture for Physiotherapists from Hong Kong Physiotherapy Association.

He gained extensive clinical exposures in different clinical settings in the hospital authority, from community geriatric rehabilitation to most acute patient management in the intensive care unit. From 2011 to 2016, he worked in the outpatient department and managed patients with different neuromusculoskeletal disorders. In 2017, he joined The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and worked in the Rehabilitation Clinic as a clinic therapist.

Before becoming a clinical associate, Mr Chan has already experienced different teaching roles in tertiary education. Invited as a visiting lecturer, he provided classroom based teaching to students from Master of Physical Therapy program in 2017; He had been acting as a clinical educator in the clinic to students from the USA, Australia, Singapore, etc.

During the years of physiotherapy service in the hospital authority, he had participated in several clinical studies and service evaluations. He has conducted several paper and oral presentations on various occasions, e.g. HA convention and Hong Kong Orthopedic Association forum.

Since 2012, He has been being the executive committee of Musculoskeletal Specialty Group (MSG) of Hong Kong Physiotherapy Association (HKPA).
