Abstract:
The speakers will share the experiences they gained during their visit to the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Queensland (UQ). They will provide an overview of the Standardised Patients Program in musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory, and neurological physiotherapy, highlighting its objectives, preparation, and workflow. Attendees can expect to gain insights into the meticulous planning involved in creating realistic scenarios for learners, the role of standardised patients in enhancing clinical skills, and how these interactions are structured to maximize educational benefits. The speakers will also discuss the scheduling arrangements at UQ, including how sessions are organized for optimal learning and the timing considerations that ensure a smooth and efficient experience for both learners and standardised patients.
