Biography

Prof. XING Bengang is currently the Chair Professor of Chemical Biology (Global STEM Professorship Scheme) in the Department of Applied Biology and Chemical Technology at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received his PhD degree from Nanjing University.

Prof. Xing's research focuses on ageing development, chemical biology, molecular probe and imaging, bio-labeling, molecular therapeutics and Nano-theranostics. He has initiated projects aimed at fostering physical and mental health of senior citizens through diverse approaches, i.e. developing personalized rejuvenating skincare platforms, shaping the molecular foundations and intelligent interventions of elderly healthcare, regulating dysfunctional organelles in ageing cells.

By joining RISA, Prof. Xing strives to establish extensive collaborations with interdisciplinary experts to develop cutting-edge toolkits for driving impactful smart ageing research and innovations. Besides, he is committed to foster academic and industrial innovation of geriatric biotechnology both locally and globally.
