Biography

Si-ioi Ng is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Language Science and Technology at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received his B. Eng and Ph. D both in Electronic Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2018 and 2023 respectively. He was a postdoctoral scholar (and currently an Adjunct Faculty) in the College of Health Solutions at Arizona State University, Tempe, USA. He is specialised in combining spoken language processing, clinical speech science and artificial intelligence to develop resource and tools for various speech-based clinical applications. He co-organized Tutorial on responsible development and translation of clinical speech analytics at Interspeech 2024. He has also served as a Tutorial Co-Chair of ISCSLP 2026.
