At the 2026 Chengdu-Hong Kong Biomedical Industry Cooperation Dialogue held at the Chengdu Frontier Medical Center (CFMC), Prof. ZHENG Yongping, Director of Research Institute for Smart Ageing (RISA), Chair Professor of Biomedical Engineering, Henry G. Leong Professor in Biomedical Engineering of PolyU, was invited to share valuable insights on the commercialisation of medical ultrasound innovations.
Drawing on his extensive experience in industry-university-research collaboration, Prof. Zheng highlighted how Hong Kong’s pioneering scientific research can be scaled up and commercialised in Chengdu, leveraging the city's rich clinical and industrial strengths, before utilising Hong Kong’s capital markets and international regulatory platforms to reach the global stage.
