香港理工大學（理大）致力將世界級研究與創新轉化為實踐方案，應對包括氣候變化在內的全球挑戰。在「2025/26年度碳中和科研基金」下，7項研究項目合共獲批逾1,250萬港元資助，以支持推動理大實踐碳中和承諾的創新研究。透過這項計劃，大學將持續發揮跨學科優勢，開發具影響力的氣候緩解與適應技術。
理大於2022年推出「碳中和科研基金」，支持碳中和研究成果在校園落地應用，自2023年起，技術應用場景擴至九龍塘學生宿舍。獲資助項目評選標準包括:成熟或新興技術的減碳潛力、有效應對社會需求、並實現大學研發成果的具體成效。
每項獲資助項目最高可獲200萬港元資助，包括由學院、學系或部門提供的配對資金，為期最多2年。
