Message from Director:

Nanoscience is the study and manipulation of matter at the nanoscale, while nanotechnology is the application of nanoscience. The nano research is situated at the interfaces of materials science, physics, chemistry, life sciences, medicine, and engineering. The Research Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (RCNN) is a joint research centre with Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN) in the University of Waterloo, Canada's largest nanotechnology institute. RCNN is a platform for interdisciplinary research to address societal challenges. RCNN aims to advance fundamental knowledge of nano research, initiate collaborative research activities for cutting edge applications, and promote knowledge transfer.
