RCESGA Welcomes Delegation from the Chief Executive's Policy Unit for Exchange Meeting
The Research Centre for ESG Advancement (RCESGA) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) hosted an exchange meeting with a delegation from the Chief Executive’s Policy Unit (CEPU) of the HKSAR Government, led by Mr Nicholas KWAN, Deputy Head of CEPU, on 12 October 2026.
The meeting brought together RCESGA members from across PolyU faculties and departments to explore opportunities for closer collaboration with CEPU on public policy research, with discussions focusing on the National Five-Year Plan, Greater Bay Area development, and evidence-based policymaking.
Prof. Qiang WU, Director of RCESGA, Associate Head of the School of Accounting and Finance and Professor, delivered the welcome remarks and introduced the participants. He provided an overview of RCESGA’s research strengths, key initiatives and policy engagement.
RCESGA members from a wide range of disciplines joined the strategic dialogue with the CEPU delegation, exploring how interdisciplinary research of the Centre can contribute to Hong Kong’s development through evidence-based policymaking, knowledge transfer and closer collaboration. Participants represented a diverse range of fields, including accounting and finance, logistics, construction, design, nursing, aviation and social sciences, reflecting the Centre’s cross-faculty character.
The exchange provided a valuable platform for sharing insights and identifying potential areas for future collaboration. RCESGA will continue to serve as a cross-disciplinary platform, fostering collaboration among academia, industry, and policymakers in support of informed policy development.
