PolyU won the Outstanding Organisation Award at this year’s Hong Kong University Student Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition in recognition of the outstanding performance of PolyU’s 14 award-winning teams in the tournament.

 

A total of 385 teams divided into innovation and entrepreneurship streams participated in this year’s competition to showcase their innovative ideas.

 

PolyU teams achieved impressive results in the Entrepreneurship Proposal category, garnering the first prize as well as two second prizes, one third prize and one merit prize. Our teams also won numerous prizes in the categories of Information Technology, Mathematics and Physics/Mechanics and Control Systems, Startup, and Social Enterprise/Cultural & Creative Services.

 

The annual competition, now in its ninth year since its introduction in 2015, is organised by the Hong Kong New Generation Cultural Association and co-organised by Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation, with support from the Innovation and Technology Commission. The award ceremony on 3 June 2023 was attended by Prof. Ben Young, PolyU Vice President (Student and Global Affairs) and Mr Kelvin Wong, Director of Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship.
