As part of its Social Responsibility Month, PolyU has recently launched a 10-day blood donation campaign in support of the Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service (BTS). A brand new 16-tonne blood donation vehicle made its debut on campus and attracted hundreds of students to participate in this meaningful cause.

The partnership of PolyU and Red Cross BTS can be dated back to 1983. Not only is PolyU the first local university to set up an on-campus blood donor centre in 2014, it is also the first local tertiary institution to receive the Special Merit Award (non-commercial category) in recognition of its support for stable blood supply. Over the years, more than 44,000 people have donated blood on PolyU campus. Details>>
