Biography
Dr Wu Chili, currently a Principal Research Fellow in the Department of Building Environment and Energy Engineering, Associate Director of the Policy Research Centre for Innovation and Technology (PReCIT), Associate Director of PolyU-Jinjiang Technology and Innovation Research Institute at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Dr Wu is also a member of the All-China Youth Federation in Hong Kong, and serves as the Executive Chairman of the Hong Kong Young Scientists Association. Dr Wu Chili was also once a candidate for the Legislative Council member of Functional Constituency - Technology and Innovation in the 2021 Hong Kong Legislative Council Election.
Dr Wu Chili's main research areas cover innovation and technology policy, new energy utilization, improving energy efficiency, energy-saving technology, indoor air environment, ventilation systems. Dr Wu Chili committed to supporting the development and interdisciplinary exchanges in Hong Kong's science and innovation field, and advancing Hong Kong’s I&T better integrating into and contributing to the country’s overall development. He has presided over or participated in science and technology funding projects from the national government, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Guangdong Provincial Government, Guangzhou Municipal Government, and business cooperation projects in Hong Kong, Chinese Mainland, and South Korea. He has published more than 50 papers in internationally renowned journals and international conferences, and holds more than 40 technology patents with industrialization prospects (including in China, Hong Kong, and the United States).
