Biography

Dr. Wu Chili, currently a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Building Environment and Energy Engineering, Manager of the Policy Research Centre for Innovation and Technology at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Dr. Wu is also a member of the All-China Youth Federation in Hong Kong, and serves as the Executive Chairman of the Hong Kong Young Scientists Association. Dr. Wu Chili also once a candidate for the Legislative Council member of the Science and Technology Innovation sector in the 2021 Hong Kong Legislative Council.

 

Dr. Wu Chili's main research areas cover new energy utilization, improving energy efficiency, and energy-saving technology, improving indoor air environment, improving ventilation systems, and so on. Dr. Wu leads a team dedicated to promoting technology transfer and industrialization. He has presided over or participated in science and technology funding projects from the national government, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Guangdong Province, Guangzhou City, and business cooperation projects in Hong Kong, Mainland China, and South Korea. He has published more than 45 papers in internationally renowned journals and international conferences, and holds more than 40 technology patents with industrialization prospects (including in China, Hong Kong, and the United States). Dr. Wu Chili also manages the Hong Kong Polytechnic University's Center for Science, Technology and Innovation Policy Research, committed to supporting the development and interdisciplinary exchanges in Hong Kong's science and innovation field, and advancing the research on the integration of Hong Kong's science and innovation policies with the national ones.
