Scholarship & Financial Assistance

We offer a wide range of scholarships for undergraduate students

We offer a variety of scholarships for undergraduate students to recognize academic and non-academic excellence. These scholarships are available to both local and non-local students, alongside special subsidies for exchange programmes to enhance professional knowledge and personal growth.

At PolyU, outstanding applicants for full-time undergraduate programmes will be considered for merit-based scholarships without needing a separate application, except for external organization scholarships.

In addition, there are also scholarships and prizes donated by private organizations, firms, professional bodies and individuals to the University. Apart from scholarships, financial assistance from the government and PolyU is also available for those in need.

ME Entry Scholarship for Local HKDSE Admittees

In addition to the University Academic Scholarships given to outstanding HKDSE students, an Entry Scholarship from the ME will be granted if the admittee fulfills any of the tiers below:

Criteria	Scholarship Amount
Attain an aggregate DSE score of 24 – 25.5 for the Best 5 subjects	One-off scholarship of HK$ 22,250
Attain an aggregate DSE score of 26 – 27.5 for the Best 5 subjects	One-off scholarship of HK$ 31,500
Attain an aggregate DSE score of 28 or above for the Best 5 subjects	One-off scholarship of HK$ 44,500

How to apply for the ME Entry Scholarship?

There is no need of students to apply separately for entry scholarships. The Department will identify outstanding admittees based on the final admission qualification, and notify them of the award separately, near/after the commencement of the academic year.

Who is eligible?

All Year 1 students admitted to our undergraduate programme via JUPAS will be considered for the Entry Scholarships.
