Professor Mingguang HE

ProfessorMingguang HE

Conference Co-chair

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

Mingguang HE is Chair Professor of Experimental Ophthalmology at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Director of the PolyU–Stanford Joint Research Centre for Longitudinal Deep Omics. His research spans ophthalmic epidemiology, myopia and the application of artificial intelligence in eye care. He trained in medicine and ophthalmology at Sun Yat-sen University, studied public health at Johns Hopkins University and completed his PhD at University College London. Before joining PolyU, he held academic appointments at Sun Yat-sen University and the University of Melbourne. His work connects population research and clinical trials with the development and evaluation of new approaches to eye care.

02-li-jin

ProfessorLi JIN

Conference Co-chair

Fudan University

Li JIN is President of Fudan University and a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research examines human population history, the genetic basis of complex diseases and computational biology. He received his PhD from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and held academic positions in the United States before joining Fudan in 2003. He has helped establish major research collaborations in human genetics and phenomics, including the International Human Phenome Consortium. His work brings population genetics and large-scale biological measurement together to investigate human diversity, health and disease.

03-lanjuan-li

ProfessorLanjuan LI

Conference Co-chair

Zhejiang University

Lanjuan LI is a professor at Zhejiang University, a specialist in infectious diseases at its First Affiliated Hospital and a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Her clinical and research work focuses on liver failure, artificial liver support, the human microbiome and emerging infections. She pioneered the development of the Li artificial liver support system and has contributed to research on the relationship between microbial communities and infectious disease. Alongside her work in clinical care and medical education, she has played a prominent role in China’s responses to outbreaks including SARS, H7N9 influenza and COVID-19.

04-michael-snyder

ProfessorMichael Snyder

Conference Co-chair

Stanford University

Michael Snyder is a professor of genetics at Stanford University and Director of its Center for Genomics and Personalized Medicine. He chaired Stanford’s Department of Genetics from 2009 to 2024. His laboratory develops and applies genomic and multi-omics methods to understand biological regulation, individual variation and disease. Its research brings together molecular measurements, microbiome data and wearable monitoring to study changes in health over time. He earned his PhD at the California Institute of Technology, completed postdoctoral research at Stanford and served on the faculty at Yale University before returning to Stanford in 2009.

05-jianfeng-feng

ProfessorJianfeng FENG

Conference Co-chair

Fudan University

Jianfeng FENG is a professor at Fudan University and Director of its Institute of Science and Technology for Brain-inspired Intelligence. Trained in mathematics and probability at Peking University, he works across computational neuroscience, psychiatry and artificial intelligence. His research develops mathematical, statistical and computational methods for studying brain function and disease, including the analysis of large neuroimaging datasets. He has contributed to brain-wide association approaches and investigations of depression, schizophrenia and other brain disorders. His interdisciplinary work connects computational theory with biomedical evidence to better understand the brain and inform approaches to diagnosis and treatment.
