Bringing together scientists and clinicians to shape digital twin medicine:
the next paradigm beyond precision medicine.
Digital twin medicine
Population ageing and chronic disease call for a more dynamic understanding of health over time.
Digital twin medicine seeks to bring together information collected across biological scales and successive time points. The aim is to build models that reflect an individual’s changing health, with potential applications in disease-risk prediction, treatment simulation and clinical decision support.
The inaugural International Summit on Digital Twin Medicine brings scientists, clinicians, AI researchers and industry partners together to examine these possibilities and the evidence needed for clinical translation.
Invited professor presentations and discussion will connect scientific frameworks, clinical trial design and pathways from research to practice.
Led by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University through the PolyU–Stanford Joint Research Centre for Longitudinal Deep Omics.
Scientific themes
Personal digital twins & healthy ageing
Individual health trajectories and dynamic models of health and disease, with applications in prevention, chronic disease and personalised care.
Longitudinal multi-omics & multimodal data
Repeated molecular measurements, medical imaging, oculomics and wearable sensing in the study of changes in health over time.
AI-enabled modelling & organ-specific applications
The construction and evaluation of digital twins, including their potential for risk assessment, treatment simulation and clinical decision support.
Clinical evidence & translation
Clinical trial design, the evaluation of digital twin approaches and the evidence required for their use in clinical research and care.
Participants
The summit is intended for researchers and professionals across the following fields.
Conference objectives
The summit builds on PolyU’s work in longitudinal deep omics, oculomics and AI-enabled health research. The organisers plan to introduce two initiatives to support scientific dialogue and future multicentre collaboration.
Digital Twin Medicine
Hong Kong Declaration
The organisers plan to introduce a declaration framework to support scientific dialogue and shared research priorities in digital twin medicine.
International Digital
Twin Medicine Alliance
The organisers plan to initiate an international alliance to connect disciplines and support future multicentre collaboration.
