Breakout rooms Breakout rooms allow meeting organizer to create sub-meetings in virtual meeting rooms (up to 50) within a scheduled Teams meeting for small group discussion and collaboration.

Direct print from student mobile phone

Students who need hardcopy printout of softcopy document can leverage the Student Computer Centre (SCC) mobile print app and send softcopy document to Multi-Function Printers (MFP) located at Block M SCC on 3/F or 4/F or Block Z 1/F.

New features of mySurvey in 2021

mySurvey is an online survey tool that can be leveraged for field research. With mySurvey, users can compose online survey forms for external participants to access and extract survey collected feedback with a few mouse clicks. Survey can be conducted without tracking participants identity. Participants submitted results can be exported to Excel or SPSS for further analysis.

Smart tips for students to attend online invigilated exam

To get students prepared for the online invigilated examination, three student guides and an animated video covering what to pay attention to before, during and after online exam have been made available for student reference.

Access TLIT lab software and training videos anytime anywhere

Teaching & Learning Information Technology (TLIT) lab embraces technology to provide a rich collaborative learning experience for students. In the last two months, a number of training workshops on various topics such as Gamification, Mixed Reality, Animations and Video Editing for students have been conducted to enable students to leverage TLIT lab tools to enhance their storytelling and communication skills.

Applying Machine Learning Algorithms online course for students

Further to the Machine Learning Fundamentals course, a 15-hour online course focuses on applying Machine Learning algorithms to solve real life problems via data analytics will be available in November.

The IT Help Desk Service Chatbot has changed to a new look and to serve PolyU staff and students. ITS has adopted open sourced software Mycroft to provide web chat function and response to general enquiries and frequently asked topics on IT on 7 x 24 basis.
