To facilitate researchers' collaboration with Mainland counterparties in Higher Education, Industries or Government ministries/bureaux, ITS has conducted research on popular open source software used in Mainland and tested their compatibility with office document and files used at PolyU.
For those who desire to use Mainland-based supplier’s software and Cloud email service for information security considerations or need high assurance on compatibility for document / files exchange with Mainland business partners, please refer to the list of desktop and server operating system software, office application and anti-virus software as well as database software that has completed the required compatibility test.
The list is based on open source products with enhancements and ongoing maintenance support from Mainland software suppliers.
