Workshops on face-to-face class recording and use of smart panel

Face-to-face teaching will resume in Semester 2. To facilitate the teaching and learning activities, workshops on face-to-face class recording and on-site demonstration on using smart panel will be brought to teaching instructors in early January 2022.

Face-to-Face Class Recording Workshop Series

ITS and EDC jointly organise a series of workshops from 3 to 14 January 2022 to introduce various platforms that can be used to record face-to-face classes and how to further edit the recording:

  • Session 1: Using Zoom to record your face-to-face classes
  • Session 2: Using Blackboard Collaborate Ultra to record your face-to-face classes
  • Session 3: Using MS Teams to record your face-to-face classes
  • Session 4: Using uRewind (Panopto) to record your face-to-face classes
  • Session 5: Basic class recording editing using DaVinci Resolve

On-site demonstration on using Smart Panels

Smart panels have been deployed to over 40 small size classrooms for the resumption of face-to-face teaching in coming semester. The smart panel comes with an 86” LED display panel with 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) which offers better visual clarity to in-class students. Besides the built-in wide-angle camera and microphones, the smart panel is integrated with desktop PC for supporting teaching and learning activities and session recording.

Come and experience the new smart panel, three identical sessions of on-site demonstration will be offered at the following timeslots:

  • 15:30 – 17:00, 6 January 2022 (Thu)
  • 10:30 – 12:00, 7 January 2022 (Fri)
  • 15:30 – 17:00, 7 January 2022 (Fri)
