MATLAB and Simulink software use till 30 June 2020

To support students, academic staff and researchers to conduct learning, teaching and research activities at home during pandemic period, arrangement has been made with MathWorks for a Temporary Campus-Wide License coverage on MATLAB, Simulink and 100+ companion products till 30 June 2020.

All students, academic staff and researchers are eligible to download and install these software products on their own computers or on university-assigned computers. In addition, they can also access MATLAB Online and MATLAB Drive via browser on PC, portable device and smartphone during this period.

Eligible users can find out the product list covered and install a local copy of MATLAB software for use at home based on the steps below:
1 Go to PolyU MATLAB Portal, pick PRC Chinese or PRC English portal location and click “See list of available products” to check the list of available products.
2 Click “Sign in to get started”, select to create MathWorks Account and input your student connect email address or staff email address.
3 When you receive email from service@mathsworks.com in your O365 inbox, simply click “verify your email” and you will be redirected to fill in other information on your MathWorks account profile.
Once you complete the profile input and click "create", your MathWorks account will be ready.

Please note the following points before downloading,

 

  • Any commercial use of MATLAB and Simulink software is not covered by this temporary campus-wide license programme. Users who have licensed MathWorks product for commercial use are encouraged to continue using the licensed copy.
  • All installed MATLAB software under this temporary campus-wide license programme will be expired after 30 June 2020.
