Five final year students of LEM programme participated in the CILTHK Student Day 2016 on 19 Mar 2016 and won the Second Runner-up.
The competition, organized by the chartered Institution of Logistics and Transportation (CILTHK), aimed to provide a competitive arena for stimulating thinking and sharing instructive knowledge among the participants as well as the observers.

The team was given a logistics related topic "What are the pros and cons of shipping alliances? How do you foresee the trend for these alliances?" to study. Though presentation, students demonstrated their understanding, knowledge, argument, analytical skill, logical thinking as well as communication capability.
Kitty Leung said, "The competition is an invaluable experience for students. Within a tight schedule, our group has to figure out a comprehensive solution for the given case. It is very challenging but exciting as we learnt new knowledge. The competition also helps polishing students' analytical skill and teamwork spirit."
