Used Item Collection on 7 - 8 May 2019

When you prepare to throw away some items at home or in your workplace, have you ever thought that some of them are still usable and perhaps even valuable to many low-income families in our community? Participate in our used-item collection campaign in order to leave the usable items to the needy. Details are as follows:

  • Date: 7 – 8 May 2019 (Tuesday – Wednesday)
  • Time: 12:00 n.n. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Venue: VA Platform outside the Shaw Amenities Building (next to the 7-11 Convenience Shop)
  • Organizer: PolyU Staff Association

This used item collection campaign is jointly organized with the Community Recycling Coop, a charitable organization established in Shamshuipo by the Industrial Relation Institute since 2002. We would like to collect clothing, shoes, bags, stationery, books (no text books), household goods, bedding, decorations, musical instruments, entertainment items such as DVD and CDs (must be in good working condition and 80% new). We do not accept: electrical appliances, computers, furniture, textbooks/magazines, and disposable items such as paper cups.
For more information of the Community Recycling Coop, please visit their website:

Just bring your used items to our counter to help the needy and protect our environment.
