Hello! I am a second-year student, majoring in Accountancy. Hong Kong is such a diverse city to be studying in. Though I may have not been here for too long, I can say I have already met many friends of different cultures and have had the best experiences learning from them.

University life so far, has been an amazing experience, and everyone in PolyU has been so proactive! It may be challenging at times, but PolyU has a supportive community.

Describing my personality, I am hard-working, self-driven, and committed. My passions are playing Tennis, taking film pictures, baking, and enjoying great food!

Being here, provides me opportunities not only academically, but also experience wise to hone the things I am passionate about. I believe with the opportunities here; I can enrich my knowledge to help elevate and be of service to my community back home in the Philippines.

Hi! I’m a year-2 PolyU student from department of Computing. I’d like to say the life in PolyU is amazing!

First, it is well known that PolyU is a world-class university prestigious in its good education, in which you can learn from distinguished professors. The professors who teach me and my mentor are so kind and warm-hearted, willing to help whenever I encounter difficulties in my study or in life. Also, there are many professional courses and elective courses to choose, which are very useful to future job application as well as further study.

Apart from these, you can develop your overall beings and have fun at the same time! As for me, I have lot of hobbies such as singing, dancing, playing the piano…There’s lots of opportunities for me to learn and play with friends having the same hobbies. You can meet people from different backgrounds, make world-wide friends, develop your overall beings…You’ll have a taste of multi-culture and enjoy colorful school life here.

All I want to say is both the study and life experience in PolyU is so great and unforgettable!

Hi, I am Ji Won, an Advertising Design major student. I was born and raised in South Korea most of my lifetime, but I finished high school in an international school in the Philippines. During my free time, I love to listen to the music of various genres.

Coming to Hong Kong, it was definitely not easy to live independently in a new environment. Every second felt like a task. However, meeting kind people and exploring various places made me fall in love with the city. Come and join the exciting journey with me!

Hello! My name is Seohyun Kim (Melissa), a second-year student majoring in Hotel Management. I was born and raised in South Korea, but I studied in Canada International School in China Dalian since grade eight.

I love to meet various people because I can learn about new cultures, languages, feelings, etc. For these reasons, PolyU is the perfect university for me. There are many competent students and professors at PolyU. A year is a short time, but I have learned a lot at PolyU. I want to learn more from PolyU for the rest of the three years and learn more about myself to achieve my dream.

Hello! My name is Hsiang-An and I am from Taiwan. I am currently a sophomore studying Electrical Engineering. Though my first year of study was online due to a variety of difficulties; however, the education I have received has surpassed my expectations. I have also met people in PolyU that have really brought me warmth and helped me blend in a new life stage.

While I study engineering, I also embrace art things as well. I like reading novels and playing the violin in my free time. I also enjoy badminton and table tennis. I am pleased to join the Cultural Ambassador and am looking forward to the future experiences awaiting me in the next year.
