Financial Assistance

Local full-time UGC-funded students are eligible to apply for the following financial assistance schemes. Updated information for 2020/21 new admittees will be updated in July 2020 on relevant webpages. 

Tertiary Student Finance Scheme-Publicly-funded Programmes (TSFS)
– a means-tested scheme offers grant (maximum: $40,025 to $80,490 in 2019/20. Figure for 2020/21 will be updated in July 2020.) and/or loan (maximum: $51,470 in 2019/20. Figure for 2020/21 will be updated in July 2020.)

Non-means-tested Loan Scheme for Full-time Tertiary Students (NLSFT)
– a non-means-tested scheme offers loan (interest charged once the loan is drawn down to PolyU) capped at tuition fee level

PolyU Financial Assistance Scheme (PolyU FA)
– a means-tested scheme supported by generous organizations and individuals to offer bursary (average: ~$7,400 in 2018/19. Figure for 2019/20 will be updated in July 2020.) and/or interest-free loan (average: ~$10,700 in 2018/19. Figure for 2019/20 will be updated in July 2020.) to financially needy student
