FENG Inter-departmental Final Year Projects 2024/25

Project collaboration is an essential part of engineering education, helping students develop professional and technical communication skills, leadership abilities, and conflict resolution skills. Driven by the goal of fostering interdisciplinary learning opportunities, the Faculty has launched the Inter-departmental Final Year Projects (FYPs) since the academic year 2021/22.

In the academic year 2024/25, to recognise outstanding performance, exceptional teamwork and project popularity, three awards, the Best Project Award, Team Synergy Award and Most Popular Solution Award, have been presented to teams at the FENG Inter-departmental Final Year Projects 2024/25:

Throughout the year, seven projects were undertaken by diverse teams of students from FENG departments, comprising both local and non-local students. Under the guidance and mentorship of a supervisory team consisting of the project coordinator(s) and second supervisors assigned to each student, students are expected to adhere to professional standards and submit all the required project components. The projects for 2024/25 are as follows:

(ISE) Proactive Human-Robot Collaborative Service Robot System

(ME) Underwater Specimen Collection with a Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle (ROV)
