Aryu is a sports lover and is very keen on participating in different sports and physical activities. She graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong with a master’s degree in exercise science and a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and health education. She is currently a PhD student at RS, PolyU. She wants to pursue higher education to keep exploring new questions and widen her horizons, so as to fill up her knowledge gaps through learning.
Aryu’s research goals are to assist swimmers to enhance their swimming performance and to facilitate coaching and training. In the coming few years, she aims to conduct different studies to investigate the beneficial effects of various training programmes on swimming techniques from a biomechanical perspective, so as to design and develop a suitable training programme for enhancing swimmers’ performance. Moreover, in order to facilitate coaches to monitor swimming techniques and swimmers’ performance progression, she wants to explore different measurement or assessment tools to better understand swimming biomechanics and evaluate swimmers’ performance in a more scientific way. By finding out more information through research, swimmers and coaches will know how to assess and improve performance in a more appropriate way.
