LST's postgraduate degree programme leads to a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree. The programme aims to cultivate socially responsible, future-ready, and globally engaged scholars capable of making original and impactful contributions to the fields of fields of computational linguistics and artificial intelligence, cognitive neuroscience of language, speech-language pathology, translation and interpreting, language education and assessment, bilingualism and communication, Chinese and East Asian Linguistics, and related interdisciplinary domains.

 

Through rigorous and specialized training, the programme aims to equip graduates with comprehensive knowledge, advanced research methodologies, and critical thinking skills to address complex challenges in their fields. Graduates are prepared to conduct independent, groundbreaking research, publish scholarly findings adhering to the highest academic standards, and engage in meaningful dialogue with international scholars.
