Bachelor’s Degree Scheme in Construction and Environment (Programme Code: 04404) - Faculty of Engineering (FENG)
Bachelor’s Degree Scheme in Engineering (Programme Code: 05409) - Faculty of Humanities (FH)
Bachelor’s Degree Scheme in Humanities (Programme Code: 03405) - Faculty of Science (FS)
Bachelor’s Degree Scheme in Science (Programme Code: 01402)

- All students within a Faculty follow a common first-year curriculum, regardless of their specific schemes/programmes.
- It provides a broad foundation of knowledge.
- It helps students make informed decisions about their future Major.
- You are encouraged to seek guidance from your Academic Advisor when choosing a Major or exploring additional study options.
It is a competitive allocation process for placing students into schemes/programmes based on:
1. Their choice preferences.
2. A ranking score determined by the following factors:
- Entrance qualification score*:
The University will assess your score based on your main admission qualification. - Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA):
The CGPA after Semester Two of Year 1 will be used. - Interview score:
A Faculty-based interview will be conducted in Semester Two of Year 1 as part of this process.
* For students admitted based on Non-Academic Achievements, only the CGPA and the interview score will be taken into account (subject to approval).

Actions for choosing your Major and additional study options (2025/26 Academic Year)
Action 1: Attend the Faculty-based Interview
Action Date: Before 27 May 2026 (subject to arrangements by the respective Faculty)
- The interview is a critical factor in determining the ranking score for the iteration process.
- Attendance is mandatory for BDS students.
- Details about the interview arrangements will be announced by the respective Faculty at a later date.
Action 2: Rank Choices for Iteration
Action Date: 29 May to 3 June 2026
Results Announcement: 12 June 2026
- BDS students must rank their choices for the iteration process.
- A list of scheme/programme options will be available in September 2025.
- Application submission through eStudent > Application Forms > Ranking Choices for the Iteration Process.
Action 3: Select a Major and/or a Secondary Major
Action Date: 16 to 22 June 2026
Results Announcement: 23 to 29 June 2026
- After confirming the iteration results, students can select a Major (for departmental schemes)* and/or a Secondary Major.
- Application submission through eStudent > Application Forms > (AR164) Application for Major/Secondary Major.
* except for programmes with a separate Major selection arrangement later.
Action 4: Select a Minor and/or a Fast-track Programme
Action Date: 2 to 8 July 2026
Results Announcement: 9 to 24 July 2026
- After confirming their Major or Major with a Secondary Major, students can choose a Minor and/or a Fast-track Programme if they meet the respective admission criteria.
