Biography

Dr. LIU Junxu completed her Ph.D. in Computer Science at the School of Information, Renmin University of China (RUC). From Feb 2024 to Jan 2025, she served as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). Prior to that, she was a visiting research student in the Department of Computer Science at Emory University from 2019 to 2020, supported by the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC).

Her research interests focus on safeguarding data privacy in advanced machine learning scenarios (e.g., deep learning, LLM alignment), with a particular emphasis on privacy-preserving techniques like Differential Privacy, Federated Learning, and Machine Unlearning. Her work has been published in top-tier venues including ACM CCS, VLDB, ICCV, etc. Her research on "Cross-silo Federated Learning with Record-level Personalized Differential Privacy" won the Distinguished Paper Award at the prestigious ACM CCS 2024 conference.
