The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering is delighted to announce that Ms. Hana Lebeta Goshu has been selected as one of only 11 global recipients of the prestigious 2025 IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) Graduate Student Research Grant. This highly competitive grant supports innovative research in computational intelligence with significant potential for impact.
Ms. Goshu’s project, "3DGS-FuNSTEM: 3D Gaussian Splatting and Fuzzy-Neural Systems for Adaptive STEM Learning," merges cutting-edge 3D vision with fuzzy logic and neural networks. The research aims to revolutionize hands-on STEM education by creating adaptive tools that interpret student interactions and provide responsive, personalized guidance, supporting the worldwide "AI for Education" movement.
