The evolution of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University from a Government Trade School in 1937 to a degree-awarding University in 1994 is a result of the pursuit for excellence through professional education, applied research and strategic partnerships. Over the years, the PolyU has served Hong Kong, China and indeed the world through effective education and nurturing of graduates who contribute to knowledge and development through critical thinking, innovation and ethical conduct.
The interest of PolyU to develop collaboration with African Universities is a welcome development and the African Consulates in Hong Kong are committed to strengthening this collaboration.
