CeIDE signs MoU with the Centre of Excellence for Major Project Leaders (CoE) under the Development Bureau of the Government of the HKSAR, the National University of Singapore and Tsinghua University

The Centre of Excellence for Major Project Leaders (CoE) under the Development Bureau, the National University of Singapore and Tsinghua University. By establishing the International Alliance of Infrastructure Delivery, we have solidified a collective determination to bridge borders in the pursuit of excellence. This alliance will pool global expertise through joint research, knowledge exchange, and policy development to transform infrastructure delivery into a more sustainable, resilient and equitable process. The signing ceremony was held today at Hotel Icon. Witnessed by Ir LAU Chun-kit, Ricky JP, Permanent Secretary for Development (Works) of the Development Bureau, Prof. CHAO Yu Hang, Christopher, Senior Vice President of Research and Innovation at PolyU alongside Prof. Li Xiangdong, Dean of Faculty of Construction and Environment at PolyU. The MOU was signed by Ir LO Kwok Kuen, Joseph, JP, Head of the Project Strategy and Governance Office of the Development Bureau, Prof. Fang Dongping, Professor and Director of the Institute for Future Cities and Infrastructures at Tsinghua University, Ir Prof. YAM Chi Ho, Michael, Head of the Department of Building and Real Estate at PolyU and Prof. Goh Yang Miang, Director of the Centre for Project and Facilities Management at the National University of Singapore.

Congratulations to Ir Prof. Albert CHAN Ping Chuen, M.H., Director of the Centre for Infrastructure Delivery, on receiving Adelaide University’s International Fellows Award! This fellowship recognises the world’s leading academic and research minds, specifically those from the top 100 ranked universities or top-tier disciplines. The initiative aims to forge enduring international partnerships, increase collaborative research output and broaden global academic influence. It also offers a premier platform for fellows to advance their work within the supportive framework of Australia’s newest university. Through this fellowship, Prof. Chan will collaborate with the Adelaide University community to address global challenges. Inauguration Ceremony of the Centre for Infrastructure Delivery

We are thrilled to announce that the Inauguration Ceremony for the Centre for Infrastructure Delivery (CeIDE) was successfully held on 28 March. The event marked a significant milestone in our commitment to advancing sustainable and resilient infrastructure delivery. We were honoured to welcome Mr. Ricky LAU, JP, Permanent Secretary for Development (Works) of Development Bureau, Prof. Xiang-dong LI, Dean of Faculty of Construction and Environment and Prof. Meng NI, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Construction and Environment (Research) as our Guest of Honour. Esteemed guests included Mr. Joseph LO, JP, Head of the Project Strategy and Governance Office, as well as BRE Departmental Advisory Committee members Ms. Clarice YU Po Mei, JP, and Mr. LAI Kwok Hung, Sammy, along with our host, Prof. Michael YAM, Head of the Department of Building and Real Estate and Prof. Albert CHAN, M.H., Director of the CeIDE. The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome from Prof. Meng NI, followed by an inspiring opening address from Mr. Ricky LAU, JP. Prof. Albert CHAN then shared the vision and goals of the CeIDE, further illustrated through a showcase video. A highlight of the event was the Plaque Unveiling Ceremony. Guests were also invited to explore recent research projects along with a visit to the department facilities. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us in celebrating this important occasion. Together, we are paving the way for a brighter future in infrastructure development!
