The West Kowloon Cultural District is one of the largest and most ambitious cultural projects in the world. Its vision is to create a vibrant new cultural quarter for Hong Kong on forty hectares of reclaimed land located alongside Victoria Harbour. With a varied mix of theatres, performance spaces, and museums, the West Kowloon Cultural District will produce and host world-class exhibitions, performances, and cultural events, providing twenty-three hectares of public open space, including a two-kilometre waterfront promenade.

Tour 2 - Innovation Tower and House of Innovation, PolyU

Innovation Tower

The Jockey Club Innovation Tower is home to PolyU's School of Design and is the new driving force in the development of Hong Kong as a design hub in Asia. The vision of the Jockey Club Innovation Tower presents a unique opportunity to re-examine and address a creative, multidisciplinary environment. The design concept, in its first instance, collects the variety of programs of the school. Having undergone a strict process of examination of the multiple relationships amongst their unique identities they have been arranged in accordance to their ‘collateral flexibilities’.

House of Innovation
The House of Innovation (HoI) is the premium technology showroom of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). Being the first on-campus technology showroom in a university in Hong Kong, HoI showcases PolyU’s most notable inventions and research output, allowing visitors to gain understanding of its research strength and expertise. Many of the exhibits exemplify fruitful knowledge transfer and successful commercialization of PolyU’s research outcome

Tour 3 - PMQ

Located on the slope of Aberdeen Street, the main entrance was the main access for past residents and witnessed the growth of the police family community and the neighborhood through the years. The planter curbs surrounding the tree near the entrance are constructed by stones excavated from the remains of the Central School.
Seven Historical spots inside PMQ: 1) Main entrance of Former Hollywood Road Police Married Quarters, 2) Underground Interpretation Area, 3) Granite steps and rubble retaining wall of the Central School, 4) Former Central Junior Police Call Clubhouse, 5) Entrance of the Central School, 6) Exhibition Area, 7) Rooftop Garden.

Tour 4 - SCAD Heritage

In September 2010, SCAD Hong Kong began classes in the former North Kowloon Magistracy building, a former courthouse, in the bustling Sham Shui Po district. The university earned an Honorable Mention in the 2011 UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards for Culture Heritage Conservation for the meticulous rehabilitation and careful conservation of this majestic site. SCAD transformed the courthouse into a state-of-the-art centre for art and design education while honoring the structure's historic and cultural significance.
