Ms Virginia Lo Ying-chiu discovered her passion for running in Form 2 during a trail-running race she joined on a whim. Despite the challenges, the experience sparked her determination to improve. To achieve better rankings, she made running a daily habit. By Form 5, with her father’s support, she began training under a coach, officially embarking on her journey into long-distance running. From 10-kilometre races to half-marathons and full marathons, Virginia has consistently achieved new milestones. In 2022, she left her full-time teaching job to dedicate herself fully to training. She is a three-time champion of the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon.
