Dr Shen Peng, a serial entrepreneur, founded Waterdrop Inc. in 2016, with the company going on to become a leading technology platform dedicated to insurance and healthcare services in Mainland China. It listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 2021. Prior to this, Dr Shen was a founding team member of Meituan Waimai, a renowned takeaway platform, where he led key initiatives in the formulation of operational rules, the establishment of business systems, and more. With his remarkable entrepreneurial achievements, he has been named to Forbes’ “30 Under 30 Asia”, Fortune China’s “40 Under 40”, and as a “Young Global Leader” by the World Economic Forum. He is also a member of the Young Entrepreneurs Committee of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and a member of the 13th Standing Committee of the All-China Youth Federation, among others.
