With a BSc, MPhil, and PhD from the Department of Applied Physics at PolyU, Dr Edwin Hui Yeung-yu got a head start years ago by founding his start-up with international teams in Hong Kong and the UK, specialising in customised AI automation software solutions that enable manufacturers to harness big data for reduced costs and enhanced efficiency. As a founder of different start-ups such as Nanothink Limited and DreamsAI Limited, he has shown aplomb and acumen that made these companies thrive. Under his stewardship, DreamsAI Limited secured over HKD 40 million of investment from private investors, generating an annual revenue of over HKD 5 million. The unforgettable entrepreneurial experience has strengthened Dr Hui’s resolve to leverage his solid physics foundation in different roles, driving innovation for an intelligent future.
