FlowCAT

HEL FlowCAT Flow Chemistry catalytic Reactions Unit is a fixed-bed continuous flow reactor for catalytic and thermal conversions. The FlowCAT is a high pressure continuous flow reactor which can be applied for both homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis and can be incorporated a combination of gas and liquid reactants under pressure or even down to atmospheric pressure.

  • Internal diameter of reactor: 12mm
  • Length of reactor: 15cm
  • Maximum pressure of reactor: 100bar
  • Maximum temperature of reactor: 350oC
Reactants Feed Arrangement
  • Two gas feeds with two independent mass flow controller (MFC)
  • Two liquid feeds with two independent high pressure HPLC totally automated pump with 150bar and flow up to 40ml/minute

  • Biofuel research
  • Fisher-Tropsch synthesis
  • Oxidation
  • Hydrogenation

 

Software:

  • WinISO proprietary HEL control software with real-time graphical and tabular display of data as well as recording and alarming

 

Notes to users:

First-time users must be trained by equipment-in-charge before they can use the instrument independently.
