In honour of the 10th anniversary of the MSc in International Wine Management (IWM) programme, the SHTM hosted a special celebration on 22 March. This event brought together 46 alumni and current students to celebrate a decade of achievement, growth, and impact in the area of wine education.
The afternoon event began with welcoming remarks delivered by Professor Haiyan Song, SHTM Associate Dean, Chair Professor and Mr and Mrs Chan
Chak Fu Professor in International Tourism followed by a brief overview of the programme's development and key achievements delivered by Professor Crystal Shi, SHTM Associate Professor. A panel discussion chaired by Professor Shi on the topics regarding "Wine Industry Insights: Trends, Careers, and the Future". Guests then enjoyed a networking session and a special wine pairing dinner at Bistro 1979, the School's teaching and training restaurant, which is fully operated by SHTM
students.
The School also received generous donations of wine from valued industry partners and friends. Their support contributed greatly to the success of this memorable celebration.
