SHTM Faculty Recognised Among World's Top 2% Scientists
The SHTM continues to shine on the global academic stage. Eighteen faculty members from the School have been named among the world's top 2% scientists in the 2024 ranking compiled by Stanford University and Elsevier.

This prestigious recognition highlights the School's continued excellence in academic research and global impact in the field of hospitality and tourism.
Annual UN Tourism/PATA Forum on Tourism Trends and Outlook Successfully Held in Guilin

Jointly organised by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) and Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), and hosted by Guilin Municipal People's Government and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region's Department of Culture and Tourism, in collaboration with the SHTM, the 19th UN Tourism/PATA Forum on Tourism Trends and Outlook successfully took place in Guilin, China, from 18 to 20 September.

Hotel ICON Awarded One MICHELIN Key in Inaugural Hotel Selection

Embark on your Ph.D. journey with SHTM


The SHTM invites applications for admission in 2026/2027 under the Hong Kong Ph.D. Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) and Ph.D. Scholarship scheme. Successful applicants will receive a competitive scholarship package to support their studies.



ACHIEVEMENTS AND RECOGNITION

The PATA Hong Kong SHTM Student Chapter won the Trailblazer Award 2025 at the PATA Student Chapter Awards in Bangkok, Thailand. This award recognises their outstanding efforts to promoting the Pacific Asia Travel Association's (PATA) core values of responsible travel and tourism development.

Ms Hangling Jiang, Section Chief of Student Affairs, School of Travel Service and Management, Tourism College of Zhejiang, led a group of 10 students on a visit to the SHTM.
