Biography

Dr. Jessie Wang joined the School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM) as a Postdoctoral Fellow in 2022 under the PolyU Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme. She received both her Bachelor’s and Doctoral degrees from Sun Yat-sen University through an integrated professional doctorate program. She has held diverse roles, including event planner, consultant, and customer analyst, within her industry experience. These positions have provided her with a comprehensive understanding of both the academic and practical dimensions of tourism and event management.

 

Her research focuses on tourism and event development, tourist behavior, and emotional experiences in tourism. Her recent work has concentrated on exploring the influence of emotional experiences on tourists’ spatial encounters and promoting well-being-oriented consumer behaviors.
