Dr. Jeff (Jie) Wu is a Research Assistant Professor in the School of Hotel and Tourism Management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received his Ph.D. and M.Eng. in Management Science and Engineering and B.Eng. in Software Engineering at Dalian University of Technology, China.

Prior to joining SHTM, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Macau University of Science and Technology and obtained teaching experience in Supply Chain Modelling and Enterprise Resource Planning. He is passionate about mentoring and interacting with students.

Before pursuing his Ph.D. degree, he worked in Xiaomi as a development engineer for nearly two years and thus obtained rich industry experience regarding big data analysis and deep learning. Driven by this experience, he developed his research interests such as big data analytics, application of LLMs, and customer/tourist sentiment.
