A delegation from Yunnan Province, led by Dr GUO Dajin, Vice Governor of Yunnan Province, visited The Hong Kong Polytechnic University on 24 June 2026, visited The Hong Kong Polytechnic University on 14 January 2026. The delegation was warmly received by Prof. SHI Wenzhong, John, Director of the Otto Poon Charitable Foundation Smart Cities Research Institute (SCRI).
During the visit, the delegation toured Smart Cities Research Laboratory and was introduced to the latest research and technological developments. Prof. Shi presented a number of innovative smart mobility solutions, including technologies for road sign risk detection and intelligent road condition monitoring.
The visit concluded with a fruitful exchange of ideas, fostering mutual understanding and exploring potential opportunities for future collaboration.
