Biography
Ms Lynn Chan obtained her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physiotherapy from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and later earned a Master of Science in Stroke and Clinical Neurosciences from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Ms Chan has extensive clinical experience across various settings within Hong Kong's public hospitals. Her career progressed through acute inpatient and outpatient units, palliative and convalescent care, before she specialised in cardiopulmonary and intensive care physiotherapy. While serving as an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist in an acute hospital, she gained valuable insight into applying advanced technology to clinical practice.
Prior to joining the university, Ms Chan was the Physiotherapy Services In-Charge at the District Health Centre. In this role, she led her team in delivering primary healthcare services and collaborated with various community partners and the Primary Healthcare Commission (PHCC) to promote the development of primary care in Hong Kong.
Ms Chan is committed to translating her comprehensive clinical experience—from specialised roles in acute hospitals to leading the development of services in primary care—to fuel her passion for education. She is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of physiotherapists to be compassionate, evidence-based practitioners capable of delivering holistic care across a variety of complex healthcare settings.
