Biography
My research interests are on 3D ultrasound imaging, medical imaging, signal processing, wearable device technologies, gerontechnology, rehabilitation and artificial intelligence, particularly on imaging, deep learning and gerontechnology with the proven track record on medical and health ultrasound imaging device development, product development, grant applications, top-tier journal publications, team and project management, strong local and oversea industrial collaboration, NGO network, a consultancy. After over 8 years of research and development in 3D ultrasound imaging on the spine, resulting in a piece of imaging equipment called Scoliocan, which was then overtaken by company for further development and received CE approval in 2016. Recently, wearable technologies and gerontechnology are increasingly focused because of the rapid ageing in population over many countries. My research and project development focus shifts toward in these areas with applying deep learning and virtual reality technologies.
