Biography

Prof. WANG Shaonan is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Language Science and Technology, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). She obtained PhD degree in Pattern Recognition and Intelligence System from The Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences. 

Prof. Wang's research expertise lies on natural language processing models and neurobiology of language. Leveraging her expertise, she is interested to explore how semantic and syntactic representations change among ageing population. Prof. Wang has served as the reviewer of top-tier journals including Nature Communication, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, Human Brain Mapping. She has also secured competitive research grants from National Key Research and Development Program of China, Natural Science Foundation of China and Independent Project of the National Key Laboratory of Pattern Recognition.
