Biography
Prof. LI Hoi Yee, Gloria obtained her PhD degree at The University of Hong Kong. She joined the Department of Health Technology and Informatics at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU HTI) as a Research Assistant Professor in 2020 and was later promoted to the Assistant Professor.
Prof. Li specializes in development and validation of disease prediction models. She utilizes electronic health records to develop models for prediction of hip fracture, and survival among centenarians. Her work has been published in various renowned journal such as EClinicalMedicine, Psychological Medicine, and Journals of Gerontology - Series A Biological Sciences and Medical Sciences. She has led related projects and secured competitive grants including the General Research Fund, and Health and Medical Research Fund.
By joining RISA, Prof. Li aims to leverage her extensive experience in big data analytics to foster healthcare delivery and promote healthy ageing. Besides, she strives to establish multidisciplinary collaboration with RISA members in advancing the research area of smart health.
