Young Innovative Researcher Award (YIRA) 2027 is now calling for applications!

YIRA is more than just an accolade—it's a springboard for exceptional researchers under 35 who are driving meaningful change through groundbreaking discoveries. We honour the trailblazers who dare to rethink the future and address our most pressing challenges through creative, high-impact solutions. Why Apply?

As a YIRA awardee, you'll receive:

• Research funding of HK$1,000,000
• A personal cash prize of HK$20,000
• Nomination opportunities by PolyU for MIT Technology Review Innovators Under 35 Asia Pacific/China, World Laureates Association Young Scientist Award or equivalent
• Media exposure and promotion
• Award plaque to be presented at the ceremony
